💝 🗑 Should I keep or should I toss?
Even though I’m a huge lover of makeup, I don’t like to keep things that I know I won’t be using.
When I run out of a product, instead of immediately repurchasing, I carefully consider what else I have in my collection that could potentially replace it.
I also look into how my preferences have changed and if the product I’ve run out of continues to serve those preferences. Here are three products that were running empty and what I’ve decided to do with them!
🌟 Mac Studio Fix Powder Foundation 🌟
I’ve had this actually for a little longer than a year. It was a bit lighter than my natural skin tone, so it worked great under my eyes as a way to brighten under-eye complexion. However, I have liquid concealers that I’m loving at the moment and am using translucent powder atop those to set them. So…. toss! 🗑
🌟 Lancome Teint Idole 350 Bis C 🌟
This was perfect for a full-on glam makeup look. I used this a lot during any stage performances I had (I love to dance), and it worked wonders. However, for an everyday natural look, I’m leaning more towards stick foundations. If I do feel like using a liquid foundation, I’ll definitely opt for one that’s lighter. Given the times we’re living through, I just don’t see the need to look full on glam anymore. 🗑
🌟 Smashbox ShapeMatters Palette 🌟
I used the dark brown shade to fill in my brows, but am now a fan of brow pencils.
Too, even if some of the eyeshadow shades are running out, it doesn’t concern me as much since I have several other palettes with very similar shades!
Even though she's seen a lot, I'd say this bad gal is sticking around til she's nothing but pan! 💝
Overall, I’m glad I took the time to sit and assess whether I really need to repurchase these. Truth be told, if it weren’t for working on this piece of content, I might have just gone ahead and bought one or a few of these again. Instead, I’ve realized I have much more than enough already to serve my purposes.
I hope you take some time for what’s left of the year to mindfully go through your empties and make smart decisions!
