Recently I took a trip to the Tampa area. In reality it was to scout out housing and neighborhoods because we will be moving there soon. But we also took time to really visit all the neat little towns surrounding the Tampa Metropolitan area.
St. Petersburg is a cute little city at the southern part on the West side of the Bay. The pier has a playground and splash pad for kids and a small beach access. You can also find the Salvador Dali museum close to the St. Petersburg airport.
Clearwater is the popular area to go for the beach; just a hop on I-60 over the bridge and you will find resort hotels galore lining the shoreline and beautiful beaches. Every night 2 hours before sunset at Pier 60 street performers and local artisans line the pier.
If the crowds aren’t your thing just continue further down Coronado St you can cross over another bridge to take you to Indian Rocks Beach. Now this beach really gives you serene vibes, less crowds and views of nothing but ocean for miles all around.
Tarpon Springs is such a neat little fishing town. This town is known for their Sponge Docks and Greek Community. Sponge diving is a big thing in this town. You can also find Greek restaurants galore all around the Sponge Docks; I recommend Hellas! We found this amazing smoothie/juice bar called Groovy Smoothies tucked away on one of the side streets. You can infuse any of their drinks with CBD too! I got the Purple Drank with 25mg of CBD and it was absolutely delicious; but just be prepared for a bit of sticker shock if you infuse your beverage.
If you ever take a trip to Tampa; it will not be complete without a trip to these towns! You won’t regret it! #vacationtips #wellnesspop #travel
