❓But the real question involves picking the right perfume. YSL Libre is arguably one of the best perfumes✨ that I've ever tried. But why do I like this perfume so much, you might ask? Keep reading, and you'll learn all about it in my perfume review.
⚡️YSL Libre Fast Facts✨
⏳The first thing you should know about this eau de parfum is that, of course, it was created by Yves Saint Laurent. 📍Yves Saint Laurent is a company that has been around since 1961, and it was founded in France. Yves Saint Laurent is often associated with luxury since, after all, it is a luxury brand.
💸For that reason, you shouldn't be too surprised that this Yves Saint Laurent perfume is both luxurious and a bit expensive. For a 3 oz bottle, you will need to pay as much as $140. While this is a lot, you need to consider that you are paying for quality rather than just any old perfume.
💖Designer brands like YSL put a lot of attention and care into their products to ensure that they are the best they can be.
🧪Even the ingredients are very high quality and consist of coumarin (which has a smell similar to vanilla) and citral which is an aldehyde that helps preserve and enhance the smells in this perfume. This is a floral fragrance that is primarily marketed toward women, but of course, men can also get away with wearing this scent if they so desire.
😍Everything about this perfume is quite impressive to me, but let's get into some more of the details so you can see what's so great about it.

🌺The first key decision factor in this YSL Libre review is the price of the product. If you want to save money and don't want to spend the full $140 for a bottle of this perfume, you can get the smaller size. The 1.6 oz bottle is slightly less than $120.
While this isn't a lot cheaper, the price reduction might be just enough if you're on a budget. The large bottle, on the other hand, is $180 for 5 oz. Of course, you can always get small samples for much less than this if you don't want a whole bottle to begin with.
Whatever the case, you are paying for a product from a luxury brand, so it only makes sense that this product would cost so much, even for a small amount💸.
2. Top Notes 💐
🌷The second key decision factor involves the top notes. The top notes are delightful and consist of orange blossom, black currant, and mandarin orange. The eau de toilette tends to be a bit more mild compared to the bolder notes of the eau de parfum.
This makes sense since eau de parfum, in general, has a higher concentration of pure perfume. The middle and base notes are also quite musky but not too musky, which is great for balancing out and grounding this perfume.
3. Longevity⏱
🌹The third key decision factor is the longevity of this perfume. I was surprised to find that this perfume easily lasts all day.
So, even though this perfume is expensive, you really get what you pay for, and none of it goes to waste.
4. Cruelty-Free🐇
🌼The fourth key decision factor is whether or not this product is cruelty-free.
Unfortunately, this product is not cruelty-free and this brand may occasionally test the product on animals.
5. Amount 📏
The fifth and final key decision factor is the amount. This product comes in several different sizes. When you buy from the YSL website, there are three main sizes: 1.6 oz, 3 oz, and 5 oz💖.
However, you can also find small samples of this perfume online if you don't want to get a whole bottle. Whatever the case, I am all about YSL Libre and very impressed with what it is.

As much as I love this perfume, I do have a few cons to speak of.
But first, let's explore some of the pros.

✔️The perfume lasts all day without fading too much
✔️The scent is not too sweet and not too musky
✔️The perfume's bottle is very stylish

❌This perfume is not cruelty-free, and the brand may test on animals
❌The perfume is very expensive, even in small amounts
The Competition🌟
Even though this perfume is very impressive, it does still have a few equally-impressive competitors.
But what are they?
1. Estée Lauder 🌼
The first competitor is Estée Lauder Aerin Beauty Amber Musk Eau de Parfum Spray. The pros are that this competitor is a similarly luxurious perfume with hints of musk and citrus, along with coconut and rose.
It is quite long-lasting, but I don't think it is quite as long-lasting as the YSL Libre perfume🌟. More than that, I would argue that this perfume is a bit too musky (unless you really like the smell of musky perfumes). This product is also even more expensive than the YSL perfume at around $145 for a 1.7 bottle.

❌Cons:
Too expensive
To strong
For that reason, I would say that the YSL Libre perfume is still the better choice.
2. Tory Burch🌻
The second competitor is Tory Burch Essence of Dreams Cosmic Wood Eau de Parfum. I would say that this perfume is more of a woody and smoky perfume rather than a musky one like YSL Libre. While the scents are similar, YSL's perfume has more of an earthy and grounded scent. 🏵️
The Tory Burch perfume does last quite a while. However, this perfume is still quite expensive since you'll have to pay $125 for only 90 ml of this perfume.
✔️Pros:
Long-lasting
High-quality
Unique scent
❌Cons:
Too smoky
Very expensive
Even so, I would say that the Tory Burch perfume is on par with the YSL Libre perfume in terms of quality, although you may prefer the Libre perfume based on its scent alone.
3. Tom Ford🌷
The final competitor is Tom Ford Black Orchid Eau de Toilette. This is a very rich perfume with similar top notes as Libre including black currant and citrus such as bergamot. However, this perfume is extra rich and dark since it has hints of black truffle, incense, and sandalwood⭐.
The price is around $142, which is similarly expensive to the Libre perfume.

Very rich scent
Very similar to YSL Libre
Long-lasting
❌Cons:
Expensive
If you don't want something that is too strong, then the Libre perfume will likely appeal to you more.

💯All-in-all, the YSL Libre perfume is a fantastic product. I love the top notes and how they mix with the middle and base notes for a rich and musky scent. While this perfume is quite expensive, you need to remember that you are paying for a very high-quality luxury product from the famous designer brand YSL.
