While recently visiting in Tampa, we decided to check out the Florida Aquarium in downtown Tampa near the cruise terminals!!
We paid for all day parking as we figured we might have a few hours to kill. The outside of the building gives an allure that it’s a pretty big aquarium, however it’s not that big once you are inside.
Tickets are pretty pricey too for the amount of exhibits; $37.50 for adults…. There are only two main walkthrough exhibits; the Wetlands and The Coral Reef and three small touch exhibits with Stingrays, Jellyfish and Anemones.
Outside though; there is a decent sized splash pad for kids and a gate for Dolphin Cruises. Unfortunately they were not offering the cruises this day.
There also in the works of adding an African Penguin exhibit.
Overall we did enjoy our time there and I think it would be fun with kids.
